How it works
Everything Payday does, in the order it happens. Each step is a transaction you can open.
What Payday is
Payday is a launchpad on top of pump.fun. A coin launched here has its creator fees split in two, on-chain, the moment it is created. Half goes to the Payday vault and is paid to $PAYDAY holders every Friday in USDC. The other half belongs to whoever the deployer names: themselves, or any X account.
That second half is the point. Anyone can launch a coin for a creator they like. The creator signs in with X, proves they own the handle, and takes the fees, either into their own wallet or out to the people holding the coin.
The split
- 50% to the vault. Written into the coin's pump.fun fee-sharing config as 5000 basis points to EHetz195…
- 50% to the creator. Either the deployer's wallet, or the Payday router that holds it for a named X account.
pump.fun itself pays both halves every time fees are collected. pump.fun no longer offers a way to revoke a coin's fee-sharing authority, so the deployer keeps the ability to edit the split. Payday re-reads every coin's split from the chain every thirty minutes: a coin that moves its vault share off 50% is delisted immediately and its creator share stops being paid. The vault only ever pays out what it has actually received.
Launching a coin
The launch page deploys a standard pump.fun coin from your wallet in two transactions: create the coin, then write the split. If you keep the creator half yourself, it flows to your wallet directly and Payday never touches it. Already launched? The Register tab attaches the split to a coin you deployed, in one transaction.
Every coin gets this line in its description:
Naming an X account
Choose "An X account" at launch and type their handle. The creator half is then pointed at the router and the description gets a second line:
Fees accrue in the router under that handle from the first trade. The coin appears on the handle's profile page and on the home page's top profiles. Nothing is paid to anyone until the account claims it.
Claiming
- Open the coin's page and press Claim, or go to Your coins.
- Sign in with X. Payday reads only your id, handle, name, and avatar.
- Connect a wallet and sign a short message. This proves you control it and binds it to your X account. No transaction is sent.
- Pick a payout mode. Everything already waiting is released under it.
Only the account whose handle is on the coin can claim it. If nobody claims within 90 days of launch, the waiting balance sweeps to the vault and future fees follow it.
Wallet or holders
- Keep it. Your half is forwarded from the router to your bound wallet every hour, whenever it is at least 0.005 SOL.
- Pay my holders. Your half is swapped to USDC on Friday and paid pro-rata to every wallet holding the coin at the snapshot, with a receipt per transfer.
You can switch at any time from Your coins. The switch applies to whatever is waiting and everything after.
The vault
The vault is one public wallet that receives the 50% half from every coin on Payday. It is swept every Friday: the SOL is swapped to USDC and paid pro-rata to $PAYDAY holders. Until $PAYDAY launches, the vault accumulates.
The Friday run
Between paydays the fees are claimed hourly whenever a coin has more than 0.01 SOL waiting. Then every Friday at 11:59 PM ET, one minute before Saturday, in order:
- The vault's balance since the last run is swapped to USDC through Jupiter. The price is recorded.
- $PAYDAY holders are snapshotted and the USDC is divided by balance.
- Each holders-mode KOL coin has its router balance swapped and paid to that coin's holders the same way.
- Payouts under 0.25 USDC roll into the wallet's next payday.
The bonding curve, the pump.fun pool, the vault, and the router are excluded from every snapshot.
$PAYDAY
$PAYDAY is a pump.fun coin launched through Payday like any other, except that both halves of its own creator fees go to the vault. Holding it is the only way to receive vault payouts.
Not launched yet. The contract address will be posted here and on X first.
Opting out
If a coin uses your name and you want nothing to do with it, sign in with X and choose "This coin uses my name without permission" on its claim page. The coin is hidden from Payday and its creator half sweeps to the vault. You can also message @getpaydayfun or the Payday Telegram and we will do it for you within 7 days. Hiding never stops the coin trading; that is outside anyone's control.
Risks
- Payouts come from trading fees. A coin nobody trades pays nothing.
- The vault and the router are hot wallets operated by Payday. Fees sit in them between claims and payouts. A self launch's creator half never does.
- The swap to USDC happens at Friday's market price. If SOL falls during the week, the dollar payout falls with it.
- Payday's scripts are open and have not been audited by anyone independent of the project.
- Payday is not affiliated with pump.fun or X. None of this is financial advice.
